Onward and Upward

dearest blog,

phew, been a long day yesterday. first off, went to work (saturday), then left the office earlier than the usual for the dance last night. had to run a few things, then headed off to hyatt. i was getting worried that i won't make it at 7pm, but good thing i did.

getting ready was way fun. introducing my blush girlies! i am not really a pro in make-up, but I am really really glad i was able to help out my sisters last night! it was surprisingly nice! it felt good when they liked how it turned out. i called margarette my superstar [hehe]. we had instant foundation application lesson too. and oh, can't miss the tapes! it was a great experience, being able to share with them the little things i know. much love for you sisters! [mwah!]

i didn't actually see joe until several minutes before the dance. before the dance, we had 2 or 3 run-throughs of the dance. it was so clear he was tired. after the final practice, we said our prayers. when we were called out to present... rhumba started.
it was kind of dark (which set the mood really well for the dance). i really felt eyes on all of us. i will say we did great, the timing was just right and the final pose was impressive! thank you Lord! it was worth all the late night practices! i had relatives there i was not expecting. like my godfather and two aunties were there, they were special guests/sponsors of the conference. i knew it when the emcee announced my last name knowing i am outside the ballroom. i didn't get to say hi to them though. it's okay, in another time. after our dance, we had the floor open for everyone. didn't dance big time, just few select songs with joe. he was the only one i danced with last night.

i was starving after the dance. we celebrated by taking so many pictures! that part was fun! and when i said pictures, as in a lot of pictures. a lot of which are hilarious. then eventually we realized it was 2 in the morning and we had to get some sleep. joe was really tired. i insisted that i just walk him to his room then i'll walk out of the hotel with the others, but he refused. even that tired, he was still the gentleman i know. i appreciate it joe :) i drove him to the hotel lobby to save him his energy, then it was goodnight for us.

going home, i followed angeline and terence. we drove by steak and shake, since i was [ehem] still starving at that time. i'm glad they live pretty near where i do so we take the same route. then soon enough, i was home. just cleaned up myself then dozed off.

sunday morning, around 11, i finally managed to get my lazy self out of bed. got ready for work, went to work. then after work, met up with my siblings for mass. after mass, we went to wendy's for dinner, then headed home. when i got home, i cleaned the interior of the two cars. by the way, ms. solara still has the wound, it has not been fixed yet. it's frustrating. anyway, as the lolo and lola's girl that i am, i called my grandparents. then here i am.

it has been a nice weekend. the rhumba was great. thanks kuya james for being patient with everyone. he has been really determined to teach us. the hard work (and pratice) paid off. we all did well. and my sisters all looked beautiful. everyone looked nice. hugs for everyone. it is just that.. it was over too soon. a part of me wants to do it all over again. oh well... that's just me.

oh, let me tell you too that while joe and i were dacing the first song last night, i was translating the lyrics for him, most of the lyrics (when in english) was funny. hmmm.. it was also his dad's bday yesterday, good thing he (joe) told me because i didn't know. i was able to greet him eventually. i saw his dad way before i saw joe. his dad is really nice, he said i looked nice last night and that he wanted to take a pic together but we missed out on that one. everyone was busy. some other time.

i had a great time. from the final pratice until the time i had to go home, joe and i stayed together.. and it made it all sweeter...
