Happy Thanksgiving!
OLA! let me make it up for you. First of all, HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you all! It has been a great year for me, for him and for you all I know. It is actually my first Thanksgiving here, so today and the coming celebrations would be pretty new to me, but oh well, sounds fun. Just earlier, we had a Thanksgiving dinner at Anne and Bel's. A lot of fellow Sfcs celebrated with us and that was a good thing. I finally got to bring the long-overdue Dove ice-cream. A little after dinner, I distributed post-its to have people write something for Joe's graduation. I hope I'll see you [yes you dear] soon so I can include your message when I see him. Joe's graduating on Dec. 2! Yahoo! Finally! Bootcamp is over! =) so happy!! With that said, I'll be flying to Texas on Dec. 1 with the parentals for his graduation. Yep, Joe's graduating, at least earlier that expected. Yay! =)
We have an ongoing CLP [anyone interested to join?]. It is always great serving. I hope I'll have more opportunity to serve in the coming years. Second day of the CLP, I had my acting debut [as they fondly called it]. Phew, got through it. It was a good cast anyway, had my inspirations. ;p Had dinner at Mimi's Cafe Sunday night then watched Walk the Line with fellow Sfc. Mimi's Cafe was good, Italian, nice place, good food [the chicken sesame salad was good!] but the movie was pretty dope. I dont think a lot of us went crazy about it. It was a typical rock-star life story. so-so. I guess since Joe left I only saw 2 movies in the theater, The Legend of Zorro and Walk the Line. I definitely have to see Rent before I fly to Texas! Still looking for a beagle or a jack russell.
Finally received letters! =) 2 letters and a postcard in all! Thank you baby, definitely made me happy! In a nutshell, he said he is doing ok and that he's holding up pretty good. Prayer time was reduced significantly [poor baby!] but he still gets to hear mass on Sundays and they say a prayer as a group every night [that's a good thing]. He said food there was pretty good, three square meals each day if I remember it right. He lost weight! He said he misses us all and that we should all continue to pray for him as he prays for us as well. Please continue to include Joe in your prayers. By the way, I had my longest conversation with him last Saturday for just a little more than 10 minutes. That was a lot! Made me so happy! =) That's probably the last call I'll get until I see him for his graduation.
I can't wait to see hubby. Phew, I'm so glad bootcamp's over. I am thankful - so thankful for the gift of family and friends, without them, it would have been harder to watch the days pass while he's away. Thank you to you all,you know who you all are. Love you all. Pretty soon, I'll get to eat Wendy's. That also means then I'll have someone to hold and cuddle with again. I miss him terribly and can't wait to be with him again. There's a lot more in store for us now, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Joe's graduating! Yay! I'm so proud of you hubby! You've always been wonderful. I love you so much and can't wait to see you. Soon, very soon.. =)
