Internal Heater
Another windy, chilly day here in Great Falls, Montana! I need to start posting pictures at least. Hercules has been doing better with the snow. He gets his business done fast outside. He was never really trained with pee pads inside the house so he would always prefer the grass or dirt or soil. As I look back, I'm so proud of me and Joseph for doing all that training. It does not really feel like it was a lot but training a puppy took some serious commitment.
Speaking of commitment, I am not sure at exactly how many weeks we are with the baby. A couple more months and the hubby and I are going to be parents, meaning more serious "training" and raising up a child. If anything, that's what intimidates me most. I was raised within very strict boundaries. Mama was tough but she loved us well. I think sometimes I'd be the stricter, more disciplinarian type than the hubby. He's a softie, but I've heard how he's disciplined Herc. Either way, I know we will balance each other as we move along in this another exciting part of our lives together. I think I'm weighing around 130 lbs. That means I have gained around 25 lbs. I need to check my waist line reading tonight. I should have been blogging about my pregnancy when it started. Sigh... Lost times. =/ But you hey, we got a lifetime to go with the baby as he or she grows up!
Joseph and I never seem to get to sleep on time if not early. Last night we capped it off around almost 1 am. I feel I have been a bad influence on him because he stays up late with me. He's more of the early bird than I am = perfect match. I'm so much of a night owl. I believe ever since I was a kid,. I'd prefer to study and memorize my stuff in the late evenings. My folks were right, I should have slept more in my younger days. Now, it;s all about going to work and now more sleepless nights because of the baby.
Karan, an ex- co-worker from the store, was there last night. And she was so sweet saying I looked beautiful being pregnant. =) She said I'd look like I never had the baby once it's out. As the hubby said, I'm waiting for some Seven Jeans to hit The Buckle at our mall. The lady said next year. I am not dying to get back to jeans but I miss all the other things you can wear with jeans. I never bought those maternity jeans. Since we got pregnant, I have lost my interest in shopping for clothes. A lot of the clothes I wear are my regular clothes except I had to buy maternity pants/slacks to accomodate my growing belly. I did buy more than a couple of shirts and a preggy coat. But 70-80% of the time, I improvise. Not bad so far. I love wearing dresses though! Another great thing about being pregnant during winter is I have an internal heater! So I am not as cold as I would have been around this time if we were not pregnant. Fun stuff!
Joseph and I are attending an Opera tonight at The Historic Musuem in town. I really really hope it's worth it. The tickets were not too expensive (which can be a good thing or a bad thing) and on top of that it's not an all-out dressy event says the musuem director when I spoke with her. The hubby inspired me because he loves and would love to go to more broadways. I haven't. We had Miss Saigon in Manila back then but I didn't get to go my parents. School I think. What interested me on tonight's opera is the conductor is coming from Europe, the lead female is one of the top five in New York and the lead male is a new talent discovered from Havre, a humble town here in MT. This will be a good break from running errands when we are both off from work. Hopefully someday soon we can see shows and broadways. I'll make sure that gets on our Little Black Book. ;) I'll let you know tom how the Opera went.
