Thank you

the email from hubby made my day last thanksgiving but there was more! just before leaving for thanksgiving dinner at ninang's house, the house phone rang at base 2 [parents' house]. it was joseph! =) i got to talk to him a little more than an hour in total. an email+phone call=biggest thanks since he left! he got to talk with mom and dad then to me. few more days, i'll see him.

so, the thanksgiving dinner was great. i did a toast to life, family and friendship and of course to my one and only... all the biggest thanks to the Big Boss up there. ;p my first thanksgiving and i didnt even touch the turkey. hmmm. too many side dishes. i love my ninang! a coat for a gift as well. thanks ninang!

the following day [thanksgiving sale craze] started around 5am. i was up by 5, then parents picked me up. we [parentals+close family friends] went to the exchange to buy some stuff [i didnt find anything interesting], they did buy some. then off to georgia [yep, you read it right georgia] - just to shop. i felt my butt hurting because of the drive [although i should be used to it due to frequent drives to orlando] anyway, shopping was great. got some very nice goodies. got hubby something for his graduation. all that hard work. =) im excited to give it to him. after shopping at the strip mall and lunch at ruby tuesdays, then the [this time less hurting] drive going home. we had a dinner date with another close family friend couple at pf changs. so much food. i thought i was still full from the thanksgiving dinner! nice food surrounded by nice people and of course, how can i not mention the tea.

after dinner, i treated parentals to a movie. they said it was almost a year ago they last saw a movie in a theater. RENT!!!! =) omg! you got to see it. something fresh and real. two thumbs up, hats off! =) im just so happy i got to see it. i mean, i sooo wanted to see it even if i'll be alone [although i'v never done that before and not planning to]. it was very well made, i hope they'd be more movies like that and enough of the wedding movies [there's an obvious overflow of wedding/meet-the-parents kind of movies]. kudos to rent! only downfall, hubby is still in texas. hopefully he'll get to see it soon. we were waiting for this, at least i watched it for us. ;p watching it made me miss you more baby, i'll watch it with you, promise. my favorite character would be angel, then mimi. just can't help but praise it. ok, enough, i know you get the idea. just one more time, i love rent!

so, that pretty much was my thanksgiving period. my first thanksgiving with so many things to thank for particulary:
  • for the gift of life and its mysteries - change is always for the better - even if it hurts sometimes...
  • for the gift of family and friends - accepting nobody's perfect and loving each other anyway
  • for the gift of strength, faith and hope - to help us carry on
  • for the gift of love and commitment - through Joseph, my husband. I love you so very much.
who would have known... God has always had His Way, oftentimes we should just have to listen and trust. Cheers everyone! =)
