Finally the long awaited call came.. and then some
hear ye, hear ye.. Hubby called.. me - finally!! yesterday, around 1pm. I was having lunch at Panera with good friends then Joe called. I heard morning mass with fellow sfc and promoted an upcoming clp. After that we grabbed lunch at Panera. So ya, he called. [share bits later]. Anyway, we watched a movie last night, The Legend of Zorro. Good movie, most of us enjoyed it. Mi Pappi! The movie was at 6:55. I decided to stay at St. John's Town Center while waiting for them to meet up for the movie at Tinseltown. Lunch wrapped up past 2 so from them on, I fed myself with what were latest in the stores. Spent more than an hour in Dillard's. Walking around the mall [or center for that instance] felt different. Yep, I was alone and umm err, lonely. Since Joe is still in Texas. No worries, spent some quality time with myself. All good. But wait! Yesterday wasn't all about walking around. Let me tell you something I'll never forget. To celebrate the good day yesterday since hubby called, I went in to a salon. As a treat I had my brows waxed. Girls, you get the picture. So as the lady [Persian she emphasized she is], was "fixing" my brows, they turned out to be uneven, so I told her. Then she tried fixing it. The other one was thicker [well, not sooo thick, but to girls that matters] than the other one. She waxed the left brow again. "Okay, sweetie, that looks good." And I was like, "Ok, can I borrow your mirror?" And to my horror!! The left brow was now way thinner than the right brow [the one I like]! Oh my gosh!! I literally gasped for air! The client looked at me and I think I got her worried on what they'll do to her hair. Goodluck girl. sheezzz.. For her not to t-o-u-c-h my brows anymore, I was like.. "Umm okay, I think we're done now." I so wanted to dash out of the salon. Of course, always composed, I went to the restroom and stared at my turning-red brow area and thinking whether I should buy myself some new fancy sunglasses. So I paid her, gave her tip still then left. I went back to Dillard's and went up to this ultra nice gay salesman at Chanel. I was like, "Hi, I am in situation and I'm freaking out. I just had my brows waxed and I believe they're not even." He said. "Oh they look ok.." I said, "No, look closer." "Oh ya, this one's thinner. But I didn't really notice. hmmm, let me fix it." The other customer at Chanel looked at me and I said to her "You see it?" and she just smiled at me. After he made a few plucks from here and there, my brows were more than okay! =) I met up with friends feeling better for the movie. I shared the hilarious story with them. Funny night. Still great. Hubby called me today. It was just an almost 4-minute talk but it helped a lot. I've been waiting for that phone call. And he greeted me Happy 3 weeks wedding anniversary! =) I love you too baby! After movie, talked with friends then headed home. It was a good day - and night.Today I went out with parentals. Then we had lunch at Sweet Tomatoes, good lunch! yumm! then home, then I have been updating all email stuff and been stuck all day here at base 2. This can be habit-forming. Oh well, at least I've updated you guys! Ola! =)

haha...funny how u posted about waxing. i just waxed my brows a few mins ago. (thank goodness...it was waAay overdue) i know what you're saying about them not being even...yep...women and gay guys notice big time! even if slight stray hairs are making their way back on my face...it makes me conscious. i'm so thankful i finally had the time to get them done. lol.
my kuya wanted to know what it would feel like if he waxed his shins. so there i was, i had to give him a tutorial of how-to's w/the wax and the cloth strips. first, he just screamed from the pain, but then he said..."man, this is fun...it's like a science project!" haha. so he ended up doing both of his lower legs, only to where the cut-off line from where his shorts were. so there we were...telling waxing stories and he ended up telling me the story u just posted.
oh by the way..."happy halloween" ^_~
