how april was (part 1)

a month's worth. april was crazy. she turned my schedule around and dragged me everywhere. it was fun though.

having my parents was great, even if it was just a couple of weeks really. they got here, then left for cancun, mexico then few days in virginia then back here. majority of the time they were here was fun, very (i mean very) few hours of sleep since we always end up talking, and or chatting just about anything. that is one uniquely funny thing about my family, we can spend hours and hours just talking about anything and everything. we had lunches and dinners at friends' house, they have their own karaoke-fest in ninang's house, not one, not twice, thrice i think and to tham that wasn't enough. i was happy seeing my parents unwind, specially papa. over here, he is more relaxed than in manila, mainly because over here, people are friends unlike in manila, yeah he has friends but most of them are business associates. that's why. mama cooked several times, i didnt realize i missed rice so much. then she got all crazy cleaning the house. she threw away my magazines, and those are my investments! good thing papa set them aside for me. and he saved the magazine where i was in back in the PI. he thought that was really important, yeah, good thing papa was there. it freakin' pissed me off. then another session was we had this meeting with i-don't-like-too-much lady, i didnt want to associate but i had to because of parents. grrr!!! when we were leaving the place, i was getting on atlantic, i hurt solara because of the gutter. crap! then mama reacted, i was acting weird and pissed. she did her litany. then papa and i had to drop her off to her friends for their girls' dinner date. good thing, papa and i used some quality time. after dropping her off, papa and i went to this sushi place that he had always wanted to bring me to, since i missed out when papa, mama and kate went. great food! then we headed to the avenue's mall. i bought him a shirt and he both hubby a shirt too. nice. hubby hasn't seen it though. the mall was closing so we headed to starbucks, got good coffee and played chess. chess has always been our thing, papa and i. he won first game. we never finished the 2nd since we had to go home. great time with papa! =) you might be asking, great time with mama? lots also. i miss how she teases papa and when she tells me her issues. and she could be funny too. new jewelries from mama, they're beautiful. =) her friends love her, and how animated she tells stories. they all loved them both. im proud of papa and mama, people miss them! crazy people =)

the trip to mississippi was wonderful. the long drive was never boring. slept in between but just kept talking. mama cooked dinuguan and fish for joe. he liked them. saturday night, we went to isle of capri. parentals played a little of slot machine while me and hubby just walked around, watched a performance (nice blues songs) and tried to figure out this certian game. dinner was good also. the parentals enoyed the king crab legs. then, a family meeting afterwards, which started at what.. 1am?? hay nako! wedding stuff. this early on, it sounded stressful. we'll see how things will go. after the meeting, we headed to our room, took a bath then slept. next morning, wake-up call, mass then lunch at chili's (as always). hubby and i went to the mall as the parentals slept in the van. then they picked us up and it was my turn to sleep in the van. then come 6.30, hubby had to leave. not a happy moment. he hugged mama and papa, said goodbyes and wrapped it up. i was really happy that at least, we were able to visit him, more especially that papa and mama came with. that was the more special part. oh another thing, we celebrated out 1st year dating anniversary last april 27. he got me there super adorable snoopy shirts! i love them. and i got him a dress shirt and a white gold necklace. he looked gorgeous! =)
