texas, here i come!

eight hours to go and I'll be in Texas. yeepee! =)

and of course, I should be sleeping by now but I'm too caught up with other stuff. today was pretty busy. I heard mass with the parentals and had breakfast at ellen's [a fast-becoming breakfast favorite place of mine]. I accompanied mom to the bank then we went home and had adobo for lunch. then I drove mom to her dental appointment. went back home again and just been lounging. mom gave me several christmas figurines for our [joe and I] future house. they are really very pretty. and not only that, I think just several weeks ago [before thanksgiving], mom got us a set of pots and pans, glasses, set of plates and silverware [which I adore]. she's really so thoughtful. she said we'll need those in the very near future. I was like, oh my gosh, so this is really what married people get. oh well, good stuff! thanks mom =)

anyway, I was slacking on packing up since last night. I eventually got my stuff together at 11pm earlier. after errands with the parentals, I went home and gave in to decorating my house a little. then off to meet up with some friends. I went to the mall afterwards to look for a new lipgloss. my lips have been seriously dry. I even bought this $17 lip balm to heal it - but nada. I ended up visiting our [joe and I] jewelry friends. always good to see them. I checked out their new items. venus is always always a stand-out. thank you again hubby for the beautiful ring! =)
then I went to target. not too long after that, I knew I had to face the truth - I had to seriously finish packing. it was not that I'm not excited, I guess it was more of the whole dilemma of really not knowing what the weather is like there and being uncertain of the right clothes to bring. I mean, whatever I bring, that's it. oh well, hope I'm ready enough. I heard it is cold there. me and my wind-burnt lips. =/

so I guess this is it! the long awaited graduation! =) he's graduating E3 which means he is two steps ahead of other graduates becasue of his bachelor's degree. so that goes to say that for example, you just graduated highschool then you joined, upon graduation from basic training, you are an E1. since joe has a 4-year degree, he's an E3, pretty much like an instant promotion. hope that made sense to you. ;p

can't wait to see him, few more hours. I'll take pics that I can show you or even better post here for you all. it's going to be fun! few more hours baby. =)
