Airman First Class Joseph Devera
CONGRATULATIONS!!! =)

visiting him there was really great fun and made me feel healtheir. ;p after 47 days, i finally saw hubby. it felt longer than just 6 weeks or 47 days. we got there afternoon of thursday, dec. 1. that was the first day i saw him. the airmen were presented and were released to their family. talk about emotional moment. the parentals got their parents' pin and i got the spouse pin from the us airforce. since he can't leave the base that day just yet, we walked around the parade grounds and talked, we needed some catching up. i loved the gazebo! the following day was the graduation. it didn't last too long compared to conventional graduations, it was just an hour and they just did a parade [well, ya graduation parade]. later that afternoon, they were given town pass which meant they were allowed out of the base. we went to the rivercenter. it was a nice mall, pretty big, four levels if i remember it right. we had dinner somewhere in riverwalk then headed to the base. they had very strict schedule to follow. the following day was a longer town pass. so that was saturday. we again went to the mall and just shopped around a little. we had good lunch in a steakhouse. we had to bring mom to the airport since she was leaving a day earlier than i did. the drive going to the airport was crazy, we got lost. texas has some crazy roads. =/ oh well, we got through it. stressed! after that we spent some time together. cb [i missed writing that down..] then dad and i drove him back to the base. dinner was with dad. we found ourselves back to the rivercenter so we decided to just eat somewhere in the riverwalk. every place was pretty packed so we ended up eating at a chinese restaurant. nothing grand, it was chinese - at texas. the following day, sunday felt like a short day. i woke up early to hear mass with hubby and dad. the mass there was really good, i would have to say thumbs up. the choir was great, felt like their version of our praise and worship. and that's a good thing. at least i knew that joe still gets to experience that, specially during mass. =) i missed hearing mass with him, so that was another reason i was feeling healthier. after mass, we went to their exchange and bought some stuff - for him and for me. significant stuff: our first xmas ornament, his bags, my pen, my comfortably oversized sweater, lipstick and ooh, gummy frogs [err calling aisha..?] i never imagined people will actually make gummy frogs. well, i ate them. lunch was wendy's! =) the wait was worth it,wendy's! we had some drinks and talked before we had to leave for the airport. dad and i left the base by 3 for our 5 pm flight.
just before when i was leaving for the airport.
this picture feels like 1940ish..
reminds me of pearl harbour for some reason..

fast forward- flight was good but tiring. we got home at 11.30 of sunday. i spent the night at the parentals.

Praise God bootcamp's over! he is now in mississippi to start his technical training. tech school will take up to six months but at least that is way better than bootcamp. thank you for all your prayers.

it's amazing how things happen. glad the wait is over - but then, there is another wait in line -the tech school and our wedding. if 6 weeks could pass like that, i've been thinking - so as 22 months before oct. 6, 2007. can't wait to walk down that aisle! oh well.. again, CONGRATULATIONS HUBBY! I'm so proud of you! =) cheers baby! I love you so! =)

awww....sweet moment. must have been the happiest to finally see him again! i like your pix together, it's got that cute, oldskool vibe to it, esp since it's a polaroid pic...sayang, hindi sepia! that would've made the pic even more of a vintage classic! anyway, thanks 2 u & lalot for coming out to my graduation ceremony and the festivities that followed it. i didn't think charlotte would make it, but i'm glad she went anyway. i had fun w/ u guys...with everyone! definately a night to remember! luv ya sis!
